Q: Which drinking water system should I purchase?

The water filtration system you need depends on your usage, location, and budget.

Q: Do I have to sign a long contract?

No lengthy contracts with us. Our Contracts are on a month to month.

Q: Can I rent my drinking water system?

Certain systems can be rented on a monthly basis instead of paying up front. The choice is yours. Please contact us for details.

Q: How long does installation take?

Reverse Osmosis System typically takes one to hours. Water Softener Systems typically take four to eight hours.

Q: What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse Osmosis is a water treatment technology process by which a solvent passes through a membrane in the direction opposite to that for natural osmosis when subjected to a hydrostatic pressure greater than the osmotic pressure.

Q: Is Reverse Osmosis water as pure as bottled water?

With Reverse Osmosis water purification there is no more need to waste time and money buying water in bottles when you can have pure drinking water on tap right at your kitchen sink.

Q: I’ve heard one shouldn’t use copper pipes with Reverse Osmosis Systems?

Piping after a Reverse Osmosis System should always be non-metallic. Reverse Osmosis Systems will pass that is in the feed water. This means the water will be more corrosive.

Q: How can I test what is in my water?

We will do a free test for you. Testing the water will help determine the proper treatment necessary.

Q: If I have a water softener system or do I need a drinking water system?

Water Softeners improve the working water throughout the home used for bathing, cleaning and laundry. Softeners are not purifiers and are not designed to improve drinking water. Our water contains high levels of total dissolved solids. Many consumers want to purify their consumable water for drinking, cooking and ice cubes. A drinking water system will provide the highest quality water at the kitchen tap and reduces contaminants and total dissolved solids.

Q: What is the difference between softening water and hard water?

Soft water is free from hardness minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron. Soft water protects equipment and fixtures from the damaging effects of hard water. Soft water also greatly increases cleaning, laundering and dish washing results. Soft water minimizes scaling or staining on your plumbing and fixtures.

Q: Is a water softener system hard to maintain?

Most softeners are fully automatic so provided they are properly sized and installed they can operate for years with minimal maintenance. The salt level needs to be maintained which typically can be done on a quarterly basis by yourself or you can sign up on our salt delivery service program.

Q: Is a Reverse Osmosis System hard to maintain?

Reverse Osmosis Systems are not hard to maintain. Regular maintenance is important to ensure the quality of your drinking water. Filters need to be replaced annually. The membrane needs to be replaced every three to five years depending on the water quality at the source. The system needs to be flushed and sanitized.

Q: Will softened water harm my garden and lawn?

Using soft water on lawns or gardens is wasteful and the sodium from the softening process can retard plant growth and harm grass. This is easily solved with a bypass for garden and lawn faucets.

Q: What if I move?

Warranties are transferable to new owners of the original site or they can stay with the unit and go where the original owner goes should you decide to take the unit with you.

Q: What should I consider before buying any water treatment system?

If you are interested in a water treatment system for your home a little research can go a long way. Water issues vary by location and not all water systems will resolve all water problems. Know and understand your options.

Warranties, maintenance, price, energy costs, size, locations are all important aspects to consider. A company that is licensed and insured, that has customer referrals and testimonials that is locally owned and recognized by accredited organizations such as the WQA are all important factors to consider. Our water experts will do a free site inspect and water test to fully understand the issues in your home. They will then recommend solutions customized to your needs.

Q: What covers “Free Standard Installation”?

Standard Reverse Osmosis installation covers installing the system and the faucet. It does not cover drilling through granite or running a line to a refrigerator.

Standard Water Softener Installation covers installing the system to a supply line near the home with 20’ of piping.

Q: If I rent what does the rental fee include?

The rental fee includes the annual quality maintenance service, filter changes, sanitization and labor.

Q: What is your warranty on the equipment and the labor?
